Grease 3: Threase, a new musical comedy by Katherine Bryant Flaherty and Shayna Ferm, directed by Tom Wojtunik, will premiere on September 30th and run Thursdays at 8PM through October 28th at The People's Improv Theatre.

Grease 3: Threase is a modern day tribute to the worlds of Grease 1 and 2 where excitable musical teens help assimilate the foreign exchange student while preparing for this year's talent show. The students at Schmydell High sing and dance their way through "senior year" while learning lessons about friendship, pregnancy, laser tag and racial profiling.

With the recent trend of Grease sing-alongs and the sudden death of Grease actress Didi Conn [just kidding, she's alive and well], Grease 3: Threase is a timely work of art that will have the audience singing "Can you believe that we're seniors? I know it's hard ‘cause we look like we're thirty!" long after the curtain has gone down.

The cast is comprised of some of NYC's most recognizable talents-character experts Livia Scott, John Phillips and Amy Heidt; sketch darlings Alex Goldberg, Chris O'Connor and Jaime Hayes [of FEARSOME]; and professional actors David Flaherty [acting MFA from NYU], Jason Denuszek [frequent Kevin Spacey body double], Catia Ojeda [touring Broadway actress] and Luke Manson [we bought him on eBay].

The writers, Bryant Flaherty and Ferm also star in the show as the burka-clad exchange student from Pakghanistan and the Beiber-obsessed pregnant teen who thinks she's "just fat." Ferm is a professional actress, founding member of FEARSOME, and comedic musician. Her album "Blonde" debuted in 2008. Bryant Flaherty has been performing sketch comedy for 12 years in groups such as Your Mom, Fearsome and Trophy Dad. Director Tom Wotjunik is a critically recognized NYC theatre director and the artistic director of the Astoria Performing Arts Center. Credits include Edenville [NY IT Award Nomination for Best Director, Emerging Artists Theatre]; The Miss Education of Jenna Bush [FringeNYC, Best Solo Show & Audience Favorite]; Urinetown [NY IT Award, Best Musical] and many more.

Grease 3: Threase runs at the People's Improv Theatre [154 West 29th Street,] Thursday nights at 8pm, September 30, October 7, 14, 21 and 28. Tickets [$8] can be purchased by calling 212. 563.4888 or visiting www.thepitnyc.com.
