Georgia Stitt, Charl Brown, and More Join Houses on the Moon Gala

Houses on the Moon Theater Company will honor those that champion the unheard voice: award-winning producer, director and choreographer Warren Adams and celebrate immigrant rights activist Ravi Ragbir and The New Sanctuary Coalition with the 2018 Leyton Award at the 6th Annual Benefit Fundraiser "Amplify 2018" hosted by Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award-nominee Brandon Victor Dixon who will be joined by guest performers Charl Brown, Marcus Choi, Liisi LaFontaine, Mariand Torres, and Derrick Williams with Ross Baum, Joseph Joubert and Georgia Stitt on Monday evening, October 29, 2018 at The Cutting Room (44 East 32ndStreet - between Park and Madison Avenues).

The festivities will begin at 6:30pm with an open bar with passed hors d'oeuvres & dessert, followed by the Leyton Award presentation, Honoree presentation, performance excerpts from Houses on the Moon productions that will included musical numbers from: "Freedom" from Gun & Powder, book and lyrics by Angelica Cherie, and music by Ross Baum, performed by Liisi LaFontaine accompanied by Ross Baum; "Let Me Belong" form TRIAL, book by Michael Ogborn & Warren Adams, music & lyrics by Michael Ogborn, performed by Charl Brown and Brandon Victor Dixon, with Marcus Choi and Derrick Williams accompanied by Joseph Joubert; and "Onward Beyond" from SHE, book by Warren Adams & Georgia Stitt, music & lyrics by Georgia Stitt, performed by Mariand Torres accompanied by Georgia Stitt.

Partnerships with community are so essential to the process," stated Emily Joy Weiner, Co-Founder & Artistic Director. She went on to add, "Warren Adams, Ravi Ragbir and The New Sanctuary Coalition are both champions of the unheard voice through their leadership in the arts and social justice worlds. We are thrilled and honored to celebrate them all at our Amplify 2018 fundraiser on October 29th."
