The internationally famous Galli Theater will premiere The Little Mermaid Saturday, June 5th at Galli's midtown theater at 38 West 38th Street, Manhattan. The show, for children ages 3 and up, will also be performed June 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th. All showtimes are 3pm.

Galli's The Little Mermaid is an uplifting remake of the original Hans Christian Anderson story. A young mermaid is willing to give up her life in the sea and her identity as a merperson to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince. The wicked Sea Witch gives her human legs in exchange for her beautiful voice. But how can she now express her love?

Vanessa Schroeter plays the little mermaid in a story adapted by Johannes Galli. The cast also includes Viviane Hanna, Inga Jaanimets, Blake Jefremow, Kirstiana Mueller, Kaitlyn Mueller, Stella Propp and Maria Volkov. Directed by Viviane Hanna and Tatjana Maya. Set design by Sae-am Lee, costumes by Vaness Schroeter, original music by Johannes Galli. After each performance children in the audience get the chance to dress up and do a mini performance for their parents.

The Galli Theater has been performing children's theater for almost 25 years, with fifteen companies in nine countries throughout the world. Playwright, clown, and director Johannes Galli believes that fairy tales are healing for children. Members of the Galli Group perform for children in hospitals, orphanages and disaster areas.
