After enormous success during their 46th Season, the Gallery Players has renewed their GalleryTalks. GalleryTalks is a series of post-show conversations that offer an enlightening and entertaining look into aspects of each production in The Gallery Players season lineup. The series is moderated by GalleryTalks Producer Barrie Gelles-scholar, theatre director, and alumnus of the Gallery Players., having produced the Black Box New Play Festival for three consecutive years.
Says Gelles about GalleryTalks, "Theatre-going can be made even more enjoyable by creating another way for spectators to engage with the production. GalleryTalks gives the audience a chance to interact with the actors and directors of the production, to get a closer look at the inner workings of the show, but that is not all. This series offers a unique opportunity to learn a little more about the plays and musicals in The Gallery Players season thanks to the talented scholars who share their expertise. Audience members can enjoy Equus and then discover a little bit about the academic field of animality. GalleryTalks blends the enjoyment and edification for an enhanced theatre-going experience."
Each post-show Talk will feature one or more scholarly experts in the discussion's dedicated topic, as well as artists participating in the creation of the production itself. Audiences will also have the opportunity to direct questions to these participants, thereby delving deeper into the understanding of the show and gaining insight on all aspects of the production.
