Pipeline Theatre Company in association with Theater for the New City and Crystal Field (Artistic Director) are set to present GIANT KILLER SLUGS from tonight, August 22 through September 2 at Theater for the New City's Johnson Theater (155 First Ave) as part of the Dream Up Festival. It is written by Colby Day and will be directed by Daniel Johnsen.
A creature feature written for the stage, GIANT KILLER SLUGS is complete with a small town sheriff trying to leave his troubles behind, an unscrupulous mayor in cahoots with the crooked local Business Corporation, a pack of city slicker kids who know the truth no one wants to believe, and of course, killer slugs that keep getting bigger! Can these predatory pests be stopped before the whole town is lost to their merciless mucous? Find out this August at Theater for the New City.
GIANT KILLER SLUGS will be produced by Ari Schrier and Anna Lauren Farrell, assistant directed by Griffin Sherbert, stage managed by Kristin Bodall, production managed by
Andy Yanni and will feature casting by Lexie Pregosin, original music, sound and projection design by Cormac Bluestone (who works on the hit TV show IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA), set design by
Andy Yanni, costume design by Meghan Gaber, puppet design by Chris Ams, prop Design by Kirsty Sadler and fight direction by Seth
Andrew Bridges.
The cast will feature Tobi Aremu, Sam Chapin, Jenny Donheiser, Maxwell Eddy, Jessica Frey,
Sam Gooley, Meagan Kensil, Artem Kreimer, Sydney Matthews, Kelsey Mills, Frank Paiva, Edward Raube-Wilson, Max Reuben, Arielle Siegel, Mike Steinmetz, Blake Williams, and Shane Zeigler.
GIANT KILLER SLUGS will run from tonight, August 22 through September 2 at Theater for the New City's Johnson Theater (155 First Ave) as part of the Dream Up Festival with performances August 22-24 and 29-31 at 9PM and September 1-2 at 8PM. Tickets, priced at $15, can be purchased online at
