Full casting has been announced for Riverspace's upcoming production of Neil Berg's THE 12. The cast will include Ron Bohmer (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Ragtime) as "Peter," Jeremey Kushnier (Rent, Footloose) as "Thomas," Lawrence Clayton (Dreamgirls, The Civil War) as "Matthew," and Sean Jenness (The Civil War, Doug Flutie Band) as "Bart."
Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Robert Schenkkan, and award winning composer/lyricist Neil Berg present the World Premiere preview of their new rock musical/concert THE 12, with an all star Broadway and Rock & Roll cast.
Produced by Adam Friedson and Leftfield Productions, this musical is one of the most thrilling and authentic rock musicals ever produced! The acclaimed director is Richard Seyd, with music direction by Wendy Bobbitt Cavett (current conductor of Mamma Mia on Broadway).
"The 12" takes one of the most well-known stories in history and explores the least known and most intriguing aspects of it: how twelve ordinary individuals torn apart by the unthinkable death of their leader came together to create one of the most powerful movements ever known to mankind.
A thrilling rock and roll concert set in the context of an underground rock band performing what might be their last concert together, "The 12" will feature former Anthrax guitarist Dan Spitz on guitar and as "Phillip." VH1's Best Undiscovered Artist Sophia Ramos, who toured as a featured vocalist with Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden in the Lollapalooza tour, will appear as "Mary Magdelene". Cast as "Simon" is James Lewis, current lead singer of Trans Siberian Orchestra, and great rock singer Elaine Caswell, who sang with Joe Jackson and Jim Steinman, is playing "Mother Mary" and "Devil".
The production will place Riverspace March 19th and 20th at 8:00pm and March 21st at 3:00pm. Tickets for THE 12 range in price from $25 to $40 with discounts available for students under 21, seniors, and groups. Tickets may be purchased online by visiting www.ovationtix.com.
