THE FROG & PEACH THEATRE CO., those naughty thespians, are pleased to announce their production of William Shakespeare's CYMBELINE, not your grandmother's Shakespeare, directed by Lynnea Benson. CYMBELINE will play a four-week limited engagement at The West End Theatre (The Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew, 263 West 86th Street, 2nd Fl.--wheelchair accessible). Performances begin Thursday, October 7 and continue through to Sunday, October 31. Opening Night is Saturday, October 9 (7:30 p.m.).

From the palaces of Britain to the love dens of Rome; from the sacrificial altars of Jupiter to the caves of the Welsh countryside, CYMBELINE is William Shakespeare's darkest, sexiest, most surprising comedy.

King Cymbeline (David Arthur Bachrach) is not behaving in a very kingly way-driven to his Wit's End by his gorgeous Queen (Vivien Landau), he's poised for war with the powerful armies of Rome.

What's worse, his daughter, the lovely Imogen (Rosa Valenze Gilmore) has just married the handsome Leonatus (Ross Beshear), despite her father's wrath. Banished from the kingdom on pain of death, Leonatus ventures to the luxurious pleasure palace of the decadent Roman, Philario (Musto Pelinkovicci). And there, a filthy wager is made that will set you off on a road trip you'll never forget.

Will the drugged-out kingdom of Britain survive the Italian onslaught? Will the Queen's son Cloten (Jonathan Marballi) be stopped before he can rape and murder again? Will the velvety Iachimo (Erick Gonzalez) succeed in seducing the Princess? And what are those Goth Strangers living in the forest caves really trying to hide?

Come see how sex, drugs, and rock and roll changed the map of the world in The Frog and Peach Theatre Company's production of William Shakespeare's CYMBELINE!

The production features set design by John Kelly, lighting design by Joseph Kehoe and original music by Bobby Lawlor. Marcus Watson is the fight choreographer, movement choreographed by Tom Knutson. Blair Hotchner is the production stage manager, Kevin Davies is the assistant stage manager and Alexandra H. Rubin is the Associate Producer.
