Friends Always Creating Theatre has announced the presentation of the Jack Dyville - John Stutte Family Musical, "Eeek! A Mousical". Beginning April 6 at 3pm, at Stage 72 @ The Triad Theatre, 158 W. 72nd Street, (2nd Floor) NYC. The show is to run in Rep with their current hit production celebrating it's 7th month Off Broadway, "A Mermaids' Tale". They will alternate each Saturday.

Eeek! A Mousical is based on the Aesop Fable, 'The Town Mouse & The Country Mouse' and has been adapted into a fun-filled family musical that will engage audiences of all ages.

The Aesop fable focuses on a town mouse who needs to get away from the hustle bustle of the city and goes to visit his cousin in the city; then to repay him the Country mouse is invited to visit the Great Big City. Playwright Dyville has used this same theme and turned the 5 page story into a 60 minute clever stage play with catchy songs by Stutte including; "City Life! Country Life!". "Down Home", "Seventh Heaven" and "Let's Take 'em Downtown" which is a true valentine-ode to New York City. And Dyville has added a country family and a city family with two very different sisters and two completely different outlooks on life. Overall, "it is a gentle message to children and adults to remind that all people are not the same; we all have different likes and dislikes. And thankfully everyone is unique. We need to embrace our differences," Dyville says.

Playwright/Director Jack Dyville states; "there is also plenty of audience participation for children so parents be sure and bring your cameras for great photo opportunities. Kids from the audience will be selected to play a Moo Cow, a Rooster, an ole Farm Dog and a frog. Plus they will represent the skyscrapers of the city as well as the Statue of Liberty."

Many of the cast members for Eeek! have also been seen in the original cast of "A Mermaids' Tale" or were understudies for that production.

The City Mice are played by Ashley Aran (Bara, the Mom), Kyle James Johnson (Bradley, the Dad), Rebecca Weiss (Bree, the Daughter), Carl Hsu (Benjamin, the Son). The Country Mice are Kimberly Cuellar (Clarisa, the Mom), Brandon O'Sullivan (Charles, the Dad), Paige Felicia Mitchell (Caroline, the Daughter), Eric Pagan (Clem, the Son). Understudies are Mariana Weisler (Bara), Zoey Rutherford (Clarisa), Kacey Cardin (Bree), Vicki Oceguera (Caroline) and Kevin Martinez (The Men).

The show is directed by Jack Dyville. Choreography by Jillene Johnson, Musical Direction-Accompanist is Heather Edwards, Stage Manager-Assistant to the Director, Kyle James Johnson, Costumes by B. Michael Quale and Jack Dyville, Sets & Art work by Kevin Duttenhefner and B. Michael Quale and headpieces by Andy Dorph. Sound & Lights by Shannon Epstein and the Theatre Manager is Michael Ersch.

The show is scheduled for an open-end run but will take off for Summer Break. Performances are running in April-May with a re-opening in September, when the show will once again be playing alternating weeks with "A Mermaids' Tale" also penned by Dyville & Stutte.

"Eeek! A Mousical" was first commissioned by Youth Education On Stage where it played in 2010. A NYC Actors' Equity Approved Showcase production was seen in January 2011 produced at Joria on West 36th Street. And two seperate all-kids casts have starred in the production in 2011 and 2012 at Sandbox Theatre Mamaroneck NY directed by Jason Summers and at the Cornerstone Theatre in Sussex New Jersey.
