Once upon a time, a wizard, Prospero & his infant daughter, Miranda, were marooned on a faraway island. Miranda grew up knowing only her father & the spirits that inhabited the island, which were soon tamed & controlled by Prospero. The monster Caliban believed that the island belonged to him & hated Prospero. One day, a storm at sea brought a ship to the island & on that ship was the wizard's greatest enemy: his brother, Antonio, who, many years before, tried to murder him & his daughter. Also onboard was a handsome prince, Ferdinand. What sort of revenge will Prospero take on Antonio? Will Ferdinand & Miranda fall in love? Will Caliban take back the island by killing Prospero in his sleep? Folding Chair's magical production answers these questions with just four actors playing all the parts, aided by a company of very busy puppets.
