Folding Chair Classical Theatre presents Shakespeare's first tragedy, a bloodthirsty tale of a decorated war hero and a defeated queen locked in an increasingly lurid cycle of violence and vengeance. Murder, rape, cannibalism, betrayal, beheading and behanding are served with a sickly smile and a slice of pie.

Indie theater Shakespeare star Seth Duerr* ("Macbeth" with Liev Schreiber, "Romeo and Juliet" with Lauren Ambrose, both for Public Theater/Shakespeare In the Park; artistic director, York Shakespeare Company) makes his Folding Chair debut as Titus with Folding Chair vet Lisa Blankenship (title role in "The Duchess of Malfi") as Tamora, the vanquished queen determined to destroy him. Tre Davis* (Public Theater/Shakespeare In the Park's "Hamlet" with Michael Stuhlbarg) plays the thoroughly villainous Aaron with Ian Gould* ("The Weir" and "Our Country's Good" with Folding Chair and seasons at Great Lakes Theatre Festival and the Idaho and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festivals) as the corrupt emperor Saturninus. William Bailey, Justin
Gallo, Timothy Goodwin*, Gwenevere Sisco, Stewart Walker*, and Ben Williams* round out the company, Folding Chair Artistic Director Marcus Geduld directs and fight director Jared Kirby supervises the violence.

Folding Chair Classical Theatre brings this gory tale to life with its signature fast-paced,
minimalist style that strips the play down to its raw essence. We invite you to join us.
