FROM THE HIP, the hit 1997 comedy with music, will be revived for a limited engagement at The Laurie Beechman Theatre beginning tonight, November 4.

This show business tale about conjoined twins desperate to break into the entertainment world in the 1960's was written and directed by Blair Fell with original songs by Maggie Moore. It stars Susie Mosher and Maggie Moore as the twins, Amy Ziff in the leading male role of "Lobster Boy", Blair Fell as "Dogface," and Sean Kenin playing a range of comic characters.

Performances are Wednesdays, November 4-18 at 7:00 PM. Running time is 70 minutes. Tickets are $20, and are available at www.SpinCycleNYC.com or at 212-352-3101. There is also a $20 food/beverage minimum at all performances.

In FROM THE HIP, Sissy and Sassy Sheraton are conjoined twins with big dreams: to make it in Hollywood and find that special set of appropriately conjoined lovers. But can Siamese lounge singers really find fame and love ... especially when confronted with middle age?

FROM THE HIP was originally produced in 1997 at HERE Arts Center starring Moore and Ziff. Author Blair Fell has written numerous comedic plays; among others produced in New York are Burning Habits, The Tragic and Horrible Life of the Singing Nun, and Naked Will. Susie Mosher is also currently appearing off-Broadway in Newsical: The Musical. Her previous credits include Hairspray on Broadway, BearCity 2: The Proposal, and guest roles on TV shows including Nurse Jackie, Beverly Hills 90210, Without a Trace, and a recurring role on The L Word. Maggie Moore appeared in the long-running genre ...and gender... bending production of Viva Las Vegas. Amy Ziff is best known as a member of the progressive alt-rock band BETTY. Sean Kenin recently starred as Tiny Tom Cruise on Family Guy.
