Emerging Artists Theatre (EAT) will present a one-night staged reading of Bambi Everson's new play, Sincerely Held Beliefs. The reading is part of EAT's biannual New Work Series and will take place on March 10 at 7 pm at TADA Theater in the Flatiron District. The reading will be followed by a brief talkback.
Mandy is caught between her two friends. One a grieving mother, and the other a zealous clairvoyant who is convinced she is receiving messages from the other side. Mandy must try to mediate these two relationships, while staying true to her own beliefs. One act, approximately 80 minutes.
Directed by Rachael Langton with sound design by Frank Coleman. Featuring Andrea Alton, Elizabeth Bell, Lydia Gaston and Sarah Gaines.

Bambi Everson is a playwright, actress, and teaching artist. She wrote her first play in 2014, and as of 2018 has completed four full lengths and ten one-acts. In 2015, she was the recipient of the Yip Harburg Foundation scholarship and her work has been produced at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Emerging Artists Theatre (EAT) and at Hudson Guild as part of NY Summerfest. Bambi teaches playwriting in two Manhattan arts schools and is a member of The Dramatist's Guild. She is a member of EAT and has workshopped several of her pieces at their New Work Series over the last 3 years. www.bambieverson.com
Emerging Artists New Works Series (NWS) began in 2006 and focuses on new works, new talents, and new voices. Since its inception, numerous productions that were workshopped at the series, have gone on to have full productions at the NYMF, FringeNYC & Encores, Edinburgh Fringe, off-Broadway, as well as National and International productions.
