The Village Voice's Best Comedy Ensemble of 2009, Elephant Larry, will perform a brand new show, "Elephant Larry's Treehouse 2," at The Peoples Imrov Theater, for two performances ONLY. The show will take place at 7 PM on Friday, May 20th; and Saturday, May 21st at the Peoples Improv Theatre.
The first incarnation of Elephant Larry's Treehouse sold out perfomances around the country last year, as well as racking up over 50,000 views online. These brand new sketches focus on the group's real-life obsessions with eating garbage, Droid phones, and each other.
The New York Times called Elephant Larry "A hilarious multimedia mix of the deadpan and the maniacal. The sketches call to mind, variously, Monty Python, Kids in the Hall and Second City, yet they don't feel like knockoffs." They have been

Elephant Larry is a five-man sketch group based in NYC that has been performing to sold-out audiences, winning comedy awards, and gaining critical acclaim for the past nine years. Their brand of humor focuses on fast-paced, high-concept writing, with refreshingly energetic performances. They are: Geoff Haggerty, Stefan Lawrence, Chris Principe, Jeff Solomon, and Alex Zalben.
