By popular demand, after sold out shows and winning the UnFringe Festival's Best of Festival Prize, Eight Tales of Pedro will return to the Secret Theatre in Long Island City for 11 more performances.
Written by Mark-Eugene Garcia (Standby, Facing East: A New Musical, The Holy Cows of Credence South Dakota), the production is directed by Rodrigo Ernesto Bolaños (Unmissed Connections, The Holy Cows...) and will begin on October 4th and run through Oct 14th at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City. The story is based on the Spanish tales of Pedro Urdemales and the Puerto Rican tales of Juan Bobo.
Eight Tales of Pedro's all Latinx cast and crew features Laura Aguinaga (ABC's Shades of Blue), Richard E. Calvache, Germainne Lebron, Federico Mallet, Kat Peña, Stephen Santana and features original music by Luis D'Elias.
In Eight Tales of Pedro, two sets of storytellers, some now and some 17th century Mexico, cross a country - risking everything for a new life. As they tell their tales, their lives and plots combine and intertwine into the same conclusion.
