In The Beautiful Beautiful Sea Next Door, unrequited love, desperate impossibilities, and humor as dark as the bottom of the sea populate this bombastic riff on the myth of Medusa. Exploring the way in which we create and destroy our own mythologies, the play spans fifteen years of timelessness in the life of a family that can not figure out where they fit on the spectrum between reality and myth.
