The Death of Emily Webster ups the death toll as this dark comedy hits theatres this October. In East in Red, a scarily realistic and all-too-familiar tale surfaces in the Lower East Side as it seems a serial killer is on the loose.
OTHER DETAILS:The Death of Emily Webster
The Death of Emily Webster gives new meaning to the term dark comedy and one that crosses between Martin McDonagh (The Pillowman, Lieutenant of Inishmore), and Christopher Durang (Beyond Therapy, Why Torture is Wrong and the people who Love Them). The Death of Emily Webster written by Ashley Griffin (Changed for Good with Stephen Schwartz, Twilight the Musical,) tells the story of 3 young adults who are thrown into a game of cat and mouse after their self proclaimed influence in a mutual friend's suicide forces them to accept that selfishness and manipulation ultimately lead down a path of blood, death, and destruction.
