Andrea Rosen's one woman show Ding Dong Meow continues its run at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre at 8pm on Wednesday, April 6, and Wednesday, April 13.
Combining storytelling and characters in a fast-paced half hour of comedy, Ding Dong Meow is not about doorbells and it's not about cats. Sorry! It's about a guy named Gary, Madison-Wisconsin, Oprah, a bride with a hearing issue, Old Faithful, and diarrhea. It's about saying and doing the wrong thing at the wrong time, and then telling everyone about it on stage.
Ding Dong Meow was written by and stars Andrea Rosen. Andrea, recently named the year's best female stand-up comedian at the ECNY Awards, was a series regular on Comedy Central's Stella and Michael and Michael Have Issues and has also appeared on Flight of the Conchords, and Rescue Me. As a member of sketch team Variety Shac, Andrea co-created and performed in pilots for IFC and Adult Swim. You may recognize Andrea from feature films The Ten and The Pleasure Of Your Company or talking head shows on VH1. Or commercials. So many commercials. Ding Dong Meow is directed by John Flynn (Showgirls: The Best Movie Ever Made. Ever., The Nights of Our Lives).
This month, Ding Dong Meow will be performed at 8pm on Wednesday, April 6 and Wednesday, April 13 at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (307 W. 26th Street). Tickets are $5 and include admission to Ding Dong Meow and Baggage.
