The Riverside Theatre, Voza Rivers/New Heritage Theatre and Walk Tall Girl Productions have extended the limited-engagement run of Obie Award-winner Daniel Beaty's new solo play THROUGH THE NIGHT by adding four more performances, taking place from Sunday, June 6 - Tuesday, June 8 at The Riverside Theatre, 91 Claremont Ave. (bet. 120th & 122nd St.), Morningside Heights.

Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, THROUGH THE NIGHT addresses subjects that concern the African-American community specifically and all people generally. The production tells the story of six African-American males, age 10 to 60, who face a wide range of issues that include family relationships, fatherhood, economic stability, health and wellness, incarceration, youth violence, activism, education, sexuality and religion. With skill, compassion and humor, Daniel Beaty gives voice to this community of men, those who love them and what it means to be Black and male in America. Beaty won an Obie Award for his critically-acclaimed solo play EMERGENCE-SEE!, which had a sold-out run during the 2006-07 season.

Prior to the additional performances, THROUGH THE NIGHT was scheduled to run at The Riverside Theatre from May 7 - May 23 and has received rave reviews from Backstage, New York Post and The New York Times while at Riverside.

Tickets for all performances are $20 general admission; $15 for students/seniors and groups of 10 or more. For tickets, more information and a complete community dialogue schedule, visit www.theriversidetheatre.org or call the Theatre at 212.870.6784. Tickets are also available at the Theater box office (Thursday-Saturday 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, noon - 4:00 p.m.).
