Denman Turner Entertainment Group (DTEG, Inc.) and Rivers at Rehoboth present SON OF A PREACHER MAN.

Son of a Preacher Man explores what happens as a father's disappointment leads down the road of shame -- when his eldest son doesn't quite follow the path he has laid out for him. Barnes Jr. (Duane Burress), a preacher's son from a generation of preachers, struggles with living up to his father's expectations after making choices which vary too greatly. He is ultimately forced to choose between the callings placed on his life, or to follow his own heart -- alienating his father and maybe even God.

The drama is directed by Dominique Denman, with an adaption by Denman and Kellie Turner, and is inspired by the life of Andre Brown. Denman directed the premiere production of Son of a Preacher Man for the And Company Theater in Philadelphia, PA and the New York premiere at The Riverside Theater in 2012. Denman is one of the Executive Producers for the new musical Stormy which is in development for Broadway. Marcus Dargan assistant-directs.

The play features Duane Burress, and the cast includes: Angelique Chapman, Geraldine Flood, Leroy Graham, La Trina Rice, Douglas Sanders, Tasha Michelle, Miriam Tabb, Nefertiti Warren and Deon Williams.

There will be a limited engagement of one performance tonight, August 1, 2014, 7:30 PM at The Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew, located at 263 W 86th St (Broadway and West End Aves.), New York, NY 10024.
