DJM Productions is proud to present the FEVER, a new play by Dave McCracken. FEVER is set on a scorching desert landscape. Under a relentless sun, two great warriors and mortal enemies, Atrox and Bonitas, have momentarily retired to their corners. Atrox enlists a handsome young soldier to his cause, the seduction and capture of Bonitas.
FEVER is about the battle between good and evil for the soul of mankind. Loosely based on a classic by Sophocles, FEVER tells the story of two legendary Generals who clash in a desperate struggle to win the soul and affections of a young man while determining whether the fate of all mankind will continue in light and truth or wither in darkness and deception. "When you hear that an entire nation has mountains of dead men, you know Atrox is walking through their lands with blood dripping from the end of his sword."

Playwright Dave McCracken's recent adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts was described as "Truly outstanding. I felt myself deeply moved." by Marvin Carlson in the annual journal of the Ibsen Society of America. The Norway Times wrote that DJM's Ghosts was "a fascinating experience. This adaptation is truly riveting." Dave has also written for the stage with the New York productions of Tune In Tomorrow and I Owe You My Life.
Producer/Director Dave McCracken is the President of DJM Productions, Inc. and is proud to be a member of The Glines, the Tony award-winning production company behind Broadway's Torch Song Trilogy and As Is. In addition to Dave's writing and adaptations, he has directed many New York productions including DJM Productions' Chicken Delight, Body and Soul, I Owe You My Life, Third and Oak: The Laundromat by Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman, a hit revival of John Patrick's The Curious Savage, and produced a revival of Mass Appeal in New York City where playwright Bill C. Davis wrote new text just for DJM's production under the direction of Karen Case Cook.
