D3C Announce Cast For A WELL STARING AT THE SKY ImageDialogue with Three Chords present A WELL STARING AT THE SKY on 2/22
Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) presents A WELL STARING AT THE SKY for their spring season of indie theatre in Greenwich Village. The series of short performances are written by Stephen Gracia and directed by Michael LoPorto, and form the second half of D3C's seventh season.

The plays start at 8pm on Thursday, February 22, downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's on 63 Carmine Street, New York, NY 10014. The show, which focuses on childhood losses and how they echo throughout our lives, features a live musical performance by Therina Bella. Admission is free with a $5 suggested donation.

This first installment of A WELL STARING AT THE SKY are "four very different pieces," Gracia explains, "exploring very different excruciating moments." These range from a 19th century philosopher arguing with his mother to an African-American man grieving in Baltimore.

Director Michael LoPorto has said of the spring season, "I'm stoked that D3C is going back to basics for the end of our seventh season, returning to the short plays that made up our first few years of work. Like a punk song, these plays hit just as hard in half the time, but the format lets us explore lots of different concepts."

A WELL STARING AT THE SKY "gathers a series of fragments" under that title, according to Gracia. He said performances this season will feature short plays with characters "at a point of crisis or loss...there are no resolutions, only more questions."

All proceeds from donations and merchandise sales collected at performances for the spring season will benefit various charities. Money raised at the February installment of A WELL STARING AT THE SKY will be donated to Trans Lifeline, a toll-free hotline founded to provide "front line intervention for trans people in crisis."

Their work has also been produced at HERE Arts Center, Dixon Place, The SOHO Gallery of Digital Art, Sargent Theatre, Makor Theater, DUMBO Theatre Exchange, Levenson Hall at Brooklyn College, and the Theaters at 45 Bleecker.
