Colt Coeur's Play Hotel reading series will present a staged reading of Max Posner's The Thing About Air Travel on Monday, November 21st at 7pm at the CoCo Studio in NYC. Directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Fish Eye, Seven Minutes in Heaven), the cast features Teddy Bergman (Peter and the Star-Catcher), Katya Campbell (Fish Eye), Erin Felgar (Broadway's Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Maya Kazan, Kate Roberts (Broadway's Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson ), and Matt Stadelmann (American Sligo, Seven Minutes in Heaven).
Somewhere between Africa and the United States, Marie is stuck on the longest flight of her life. En route to her younger brother's funeral, she dwells on the love she left behind and the family that awaits her return. In this clever voyage through missed connection and loss, siblings bark secrets in indecipherable tones, seat partners swap ideologies and nail polish--and no one is allowed to pee. The Thing About Air Travel is a spirited meditation on grief amidst psychedelic diversions.
