Charlie Hofheimer, Robin Gammell & Dion Mucciacito to Star in HERO Theatre's WAITING FOR LEFTY

HERO Theatre announced today the full cast of its upcoming production of Clifford Odets' "Waiting for Lefty". Charlie Hofheimer ("Mad Men"), Robin Gammell ("How to Get Away with Murder") and Dion Mucciacito (Lincoln Center's "Golden Boy") are part of a cast that includes Elisa Bocanegra (Roundabout's "The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore"), Alan Blumenfeld ("The Interview"), Nick Caballero, Johnny Ray Gill (Sundance Channel's "Rectify"), Ephraim Lopez, Shannon Lucio ("True Blood"), Jonathan Medina and Jerry Nessis. Performances begin January 23rd, 2015 and will be held at the Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts in Los Angeles, CA.

"Waiting for Lefty," written in 1935, was originally presented by the Group Theater starring Elia Kazan. The celebrated Clifford Odets classic is about cab drivers about to strike. HERO Theatre's production will be presented free of charge to select Los Angeles Labor Unions. A limited amount of low-priced general admission tickets are available to the public.

Academy Award-winner Olympia Dukakis is Chair of HERO Theatre's Advisory Board. Other members include Michael Ritchie (Artistic Director of the Center Theatre Group), Bill Rauch (Artistic Director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival), "The Trip to Bountiful" director Michael Wilson and Tony Award-winning director Darko Tresnjak.

HERO Theatre was founded in August 2011. The company consists of some of today's most notable and emerging artists from diverse backgrounds and training in stage, television and film. HERO Theatre will be presenting productions in both Los Angeles and New York.
