Caytha Jentis to Bring Her Film POOLING TO PARADISE to the Stage  Image

Play and Screenwriter, Caytha Jentis, will bring her new motion picture to live theatre with a special presentation of POOLING TO PARADISE, April 22, 23, 24 at 7:00 p.m. as part of Emerging Artists New Works Series at TADA! (Paul Adams, artistic director) https://newworkseries.com.

PARADISE - LITERALLY AND PHILOSOPHICALLY -- POOLING TO PARADISE focuses on a Los Angeles ride-share pool that turns into a road trip to Paradise, Nevada for four thirty-something strangers. At a crossroads in their lives, the four hapless travelers discovery deep similarities with each other and become mutual sources of support. POOLING TO PARADISE touches on relevant themes faced by millennials, including finding genuine connection, fourth-wave feminism; identity; surviving in a "gig" economy ... and when to give up on a dream.

The production is directed by Maggie L. Harrer. Pooling to Paradise, the film is currently in post-production. Casting for this stage version is currently underway.

CAYTHA JENTIS is an award-winning independent filmmaker. Her most recent project is "The Other F Word," a comedic series on Amazon about four women friends coming of age in mid-life. The cast includes Steve Guttenberg and Judy Gold. Jentis has also written four features, produced three and directed two. Her features include "Bad Parents" starring Janeane Garofalo, Cheri Oteri, Christopher Titus, Michael Boatman and Kristen Johnston (Cinedigm), "And Then Came Love" starring Vanessa Williams and Eartha Kitt (Warner Bros) and "The One" starring Jon Prescott (TLA Releasing). Jentis was recently selected as one of Good Housekeeping magazine's 50 over 50. She is a member of the Producers Guild, Writer's Guild and NYWIFT.

Maggie L. Harrer. Recent: Sheldon Harnick's Dragons (York Theatre); Richard Rodgers' revised musical REX, with Sheldon Harnick and Sherman Yellen; Carousel, Oklahoma! Fiddler on the Roof, Kiss Me Kate, South Pacific, A Jazz Dream, her jazz adaptation of Midsummer Night's Dream. Best Play and Best Director nominations at Magic Theater for Private Scenes (transferred to Off-Broadway). Co-produced Caytha Jentis' indie film, "And Then Came Love." She is also a consulting director for NYU Graduate Music Theater Program; co-founder of National Music Theater Network; and served as On-Site Evaluator for NEA, Opera America Grants & state arts panels. Lives with husband, trumpeter Rick Henly. Their daughter - singer/actress Katherine Henly
