The Rushline Company presents the world premiere of TROLL by Ken Greller. Performances begin on April 7 at off-Broadway's Secret Theatre, where it will run through April 24. Opening night is set for April 8.

The cast of this Jason Modica (MCC's Punk Rock)-helmed production is led by Brian Drummy, founding member of The Rushline Company, in the role of "Ari," a Gawker journalist hell-bent on revealing the identity of the most notorious troll in the history of the Internet. Rounding out the cast is Andrew Block as Tim, Jeffrey Delano Davis as Arnold, and Reggie D. White (59E59's 'I & You') as Ben. Inspired by the real life case of Violentacrez, TROLL tells the story of Ari Jacobs, a young web-journalist who's uncovered the scoop of a lifetime. An Internet "troll" holds sway over the online community of Reddit, filling its pages with hate, filth, and sex, moderating message boards like "Jailbait" and "Jewmerica" with impunity and seemingly unlimited power. When Ari discovers the real life identity of this troll, he's faced with the question of whether or not to expose this monster to the world.

TROLL, a new play by Ken Greller (Hands, Sundance Theatre Lab), explores the perils of unchecked free speech in the Internet age, where every person has the power to raise their voice. Through crackling scene-work, this vibrant and intense new work forces us to ask ouselves: "Is it okay to destroy someone else's life to save your own?"

"Ken is the real deal," says Modica. "Plays about technology tend to date themselves very quickly, but Ken's genius is how he's been able to tap into the deeply pressing questions of morality and freedom that, even as the techology evolves, will loom large over the rest of our lives.

Scenic and projection design is by Bryce Cutler, with costume design by Tristan Raines, lighting design by Steve Shack, and sound design by Maggie Burke.

Tickets, priced at $18 can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets by visiting www.therushlinecompany.org The show takes place at Long Island City's The Secret Theatre, located at 44-02 23rd St.
