Brunch Theatre Presents BLACK COFFEE - 7 New Plays That Aren't Afraid Of The Dark Image

Brunch Theatre Company (Artistic Director Haley Jakobson; Creative Director Philip Sieverding) will premiere BLACK COFFEE, 7 NEW PLAYS THAT AREN'T AFRAID OF THE DARK at 62 3rd Ave for a three week run beginning on May 5th. The production features seven new plays, original music, and over 35 emerging, millennial theatre artists.

The world is ending and Brunch Theatre performs this season in a former art store in Manhattan's East Village. Brunch Theatre Partners with NYC food trucks to provide food (vegan and gluten free options available) and offers the bottomless mimosa option during the show.

"We cater to your stomachs, and your short attention span. We are proud to bring opportunities for audiences and artists to engage over art and food," said Artistic Director, Haley Jakobson.

Brunch Theatre is passionate about equity, diversity, and inclusion and is proud to offer a platform for underrepresented artists.

No one believed they'd actually see a X-class solar super flare!

CIRCADIA by Charlotte Martin, directed by Jillian Goldstein, featuring Jessica Hajdu-Nemeth (Felix) and Jake Murphy (Len). A sleep disorder linked to blue-light exposure ravages the millennial population. Even though she has a limited budget, Felix is desperate to sleep and signs up for a personalized delivery system to help provide a quick fix.

WORLD WAR < 3 by Harrison Bryan, directed by Liz Rogers, featuring Ryan Meyer (Steven), David Raposo (Marc), Kerri George (Michelle) and Jade Davis (Mia). After a bomb was dropped on NYC, these four, bickering roommates have to work together not only to survive the war zone outside their bunker apartment, but the battle between themselves. THE LOVERS by Kaela Garvin, directed by Amanda Madden, featuring Rilen Taylor (Vic) and Molly Watts (Rey). A first date takes a turn for the weird when a government mandated blackout interrupts a young queer couple. Stuck in an apartment, Rey and Vic must wait out the power outage together, trying to connect despite their different belief systems.

LEEKSPIN by Cortland Nesley, directed by Lauren Adleman, featuring Jade Davis (One), Allie Wing (Two) and Ariel Pang (Three). Over. And Over. And Over. They're trying, but overcoming the limitations of biology is hard. You can't panic every time you have to reset.
