The Bridge Production Group presents The Bridge Residency at the Robert Moss Theatre: "Hedda," "Red Light Winter," and "The Sonnets" rotating in repertory between tonight, September 29th, and October 29th in the heart of Astor Place.

Tickets are now on sale for all performances, and can be found at bridgeproductiongroup.org.

"Hedda" by Carol Brown / directed by Max Hunter

The Bridge is thrilled to debut this world premiere adaptation of Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler" - filtered through the darkly comic and absurd lens of playwright and actress Carol Brown. Workshopped this summer at Northern Stage in Vermont, "Hedda" details the exploits of a bored Norweigean housewife, propelled to madness. This world premiere loose adaptation of Ibsen's classic will feature Carol Brown ("The Good Wife"), Tim Thomas (Original "Into the Woods" on Broadway), Max Samuels ("Angry Young Man"), Madeleine Rogers (Juilliard, Shakespeare Theatre of DC), and Michael Labbadia ("Produced by Actors"). "Hedda" runs for sixteen performances from September 29th to October 25th.

"Red Light Winter" by Adam Rapp / directed by Claire Edmonds and Max Hunter

Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 2005, "Red Light Winter" revolves around two Americans who travel to Amsterdam and the female sex worker they encounter in the famed Red Light District. The expectation of fantasy, the disappointment of reality, and the complications of lust and love - "Red Light Winter" will feature Max Hunter (Artistic Director, The Bridge; Pearl Theatre, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival), Christina Toth (Last Season's "Richard III"; "Orange is The New Black") and Connor Bond (Public Theatre's "Troilus and Cressida"). "Red Light Winter" runs for twelve performances between October 6th - 29th.

"The Sonnets" directed by Kyla Walker / movement direction by Jordan J. Ford

"Exploring what is underneath when nothing is concealed." Developed at The Boston Conservatory, "The Sonnets" is an original theatre piece that examines the sex industry through Shakespearean text, contemporary music, devised movement, and immersive design. The cast is comprised of Idalis Rideout, Kara Overlien, Scout Backus, Anni Epstein, Kyla Walker, Sigrid Wise, Daina Njuguna, and Varvara Ilchenko. "The Sonnets" inaugurates The Bridge's Late Night @ The Moss program, performing at 9:30 PM on select evenings.

The Bridge Residency will showcase the talents of our esteemed design team, including Seth Byrum (Scenic), Cheyenne Sykes (Lighting), Nicolle Allen and Julie Solomon (Costumes), Marlena Mack (Music Composition), and Megan Culley (Sound Design).

In addition to these three productions, The Bridge Residency will also feature readings, developmental workshops, and presentations from sister theatre companies - more information to be released soon.
