Bill Connington, star of the award-winning play ZOMBIE and Gayton Scott of Broadway's GYPSY (Bernadette Peters/Sam Mendes version) appears in a special site-specific reading/workshop of THE GLASS MENAGERIE by Tennessee Williams at Vassar College in upstate New York. The show takes place tonight, May 12 at 5 pm in the Rose Parlor, in the main building on the famed Seven Sisters campus. Also in the cast are William Connell (The Humana Festival) and Annmaire Benedict (ROBESON).

This special Razors Edge Productions performance of THE GLASS MENAGERIE is site-specific, and will take place in the Rose Parlor, on the second floor of the main building on Vassar's leafy 1,000-acre campus. The parlor stands in for the Wingfield's St. Louis apartment. The actors and audience will sit on period Victorian furniture. The spectators will surround the performers on three sides, and will be invited into the world of the play in an intimate way. There will be an audience talk-back after the performance. The play is widely viewed as one of Williams' poetic masterpieces, and one of the most memorable plays written in the 20th Century.

Scott, who has been seen on "Law & Order: CI," and in THE WOMEN and PRESENT LAUGHTER on Broadway, joins Connington--of the film THE THORNHILLS OF PARK AVENUE, and the up-coming feature film version of Joyce Carol Oates' award-winning ZOMBIE--in this classic American play by two-time Pulitzer-prize-winning playwright Tennessee Williams.

Helming the special event is director Dan Cordle, director of the feature film POSSESSION, and assistant director, Vassar grad Kelly Van Dilla.

Connington and Van Dilla have worked together before on the short film version of ZOMBIE, which has been screened at 15 film festivals so far, and won 5 awards, including "Best Supporting Actor" for Van Dilla, and "Best Short Screenplay" for Connington.
