BATSU! NYC Suspends Performances Through End Of March Image

Though Face Off Unlimited, the producers of BATSU!, had expected to continue with performances through this weekend, today the official guidelines from the NY state government have changed. Governor Cuomo has put a ban on all crowds and events of 500 people or more, and a maximum capacity of 50% on houses less than 500.

While we are not required to shut down, FOU management has made the choice to preemptively close BATSU! NYC effective immediately throughout the end of March.

"Going dark, even temporarily, is a very difficult decision with great consequences." reads FOU's announcement, "However, the issuance of these types of mandates reads to us that it is not safe to come together. That was all we needed to hear. We are not willing to put the well-being of our employees, or the well-being of our customers at risk."

Joe Tex, Director of Operations explained, "We will target an April 1st re-open, but that will obviously be very much subject to change as conditions warrant at that time."

Current ticket holders for BATSU! NYC performances in the month of March can receive an exchange for any future date, without expiration. FOU is asking all patrons to email their Customer Care Team at groups@batsunyc.com.

BATSU! Chicago is still planning to go forward with their 3 scheduled shows this weekend, but are continuing to monitor the ever evolving situation. In the event the city of Chicago, or the state of Illinois should make similar recommendations, or place similar regulations on public gatherings they will take appropriate action.

Based in New York City, Face Off Unlimited specializes in immersive, improvisational entertainment and creative content development. For more information on BATSU! visit batsulive.com or email groups@batsunyc and groups@batsuchicago.com. Visit faceoffunlimited.com to learn more about FOU.
