Basic Bitch of the Resistance: If Legally Blonde tackled her white privilege and set out to destroy the patriarchy. It's everything you love about Clueless with an epic dance routine that could rival Bring It On meets the political landscape of 2018, racial inequality and all. In this comedic play, the head cheerleader of FHS, might just be confident and privileged enough to think she can solve the gross injustice and systematic oppression that plagues Forrest High, a high school landscape that will feel eerily familiar.
If there's one YAS QUEEN of the high school scene it's Ella. I mean she's the cheerleading captain, popular AF, and her ambition and looks are #onfleek. But newsflash! She for realsies has white privilege like Hundo P. So it's time to go on an odyssey of self-discovery and learn about icky implicit bias and ways to be a legit ally in a school full of injustice. No spoilers but in the end she'll become the Basic Bitch of the Resistance in a new comedic play by Emily Bold. Directed by Esther Triggs with choreography by Caroline Moore. Starring: Abby Luke, Caroline Moore, Emilie Jensen, Erin Sullivan, Essanyi, Mariana Fernandes, Scott Vicari, Shavana Clarke, and Taylor Joree Scorse.
