36 Hours, written by Amy E. Witting and directed by Bricken Sparacino, will play at the Red Room, 85 East 4th Street (Between 2nd & 3rd Avenues) on Thursday May 31st 8:00 PM, Friday June 1st 8:00 PM, Saturday June 2nd 6:00 PM & 9:00 PM and Sunday June 3rd 2:00pm. Amy E. Witting is an award winning playwright, director, actress, and Artistic Director of aWe Creative Group. Her work has been at various festivals including Edinburgh Festival Fringe ("G.I. Joe Jared" - 2011) 59E59 East to Edinburgh ("G.I. Joe Jared" - 2011) The Sam French OOB Festival ("Create Me Pegasus" - Finalist 2011), The Network ("Sperm Babies" - Semi-Finalist 2009). Michael Birch has been an actor, comedian and entertainer here in NYC for over 20 years. Michael is known on the internet as the "Father of Awesome" due to his appearances on the very popular YouTube shows, "The Key Of Awesome" and "Barely Political". He can be seen in the feature film, "Stags" as well as the MTV cult hit, "Wonder Showzen". He is currently touring the U.S. with his critically acclaimed show, "Michael Birch's One Man Hamlet". Kerry Fitzgibbons is a New York based actress and the managing director of aWe Creative Group. She is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, receiving her BFA in Acting. Most recently she appeared in Amy E. Witting's "G.I. Joe Jared" at 59E59 Theater and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Bricken Sparacino is an award winning performer, writer and director. She was one of nytheatre.com's People of the Year '08. As a director her nominated/winning productions include: "Those Whistling Lads" (Planet Connections and MITF), "Pizza Man" (MITF) and "Mother May I" (MITF). Under her direction Chris Harcum's "American Badass" (Frigid '08) was selected to be in a collection of "best of" and is now published.In the world of comedy she directed and produced the Time Out NY recommended; 10:17 Comedy Night to a 2 ½ year run and the all female troupe Comedy Period. She helmed Michael Birch's "One Man Hamlet" to great reviews. "One Man Hamlet" is now touring universities and high schools. She recently directed the critic's darling "Lipshtick" (NYC Fringe) and "The Terrible Manpain of Umberto McDougal" one of the "best of" FrigidNY 2012. Her last play "Death it happens: a girl's guide to death", won the audience favorite award (FrigidNY). She has enjoyed many a aWe 24 hour PlayFun! evenings, but this is her first time working on a Witting script.
