Ars Nova has just announced a three show run of a new solo musical written and performed by musical theater powerhouse Jeanette Bayardelle (The Color Purple). The show tells the tale of a girl from the Bronx beating the odds and features a score that fuses rock, jazz, blues and gospel.
The piece was developed as part of Ars Nova's Project Residency initiative, and is musical directed by Clay Bogan III and is directed by Andy Sandberg.
The performances are December 2, 3 and 6 at 8pm.
