Shelby's play shines a light on the ambiguous relationship between a husband and wife, and a presumed third wheel.
This exciting two hander stars Bridget Dunigan and Paulette Oliva. Dunigan, who is a founding member of TP&co, was most recently seen as Katharina in Shakespeare Off-Broadway's "Taming of the Shrew". Oliva was last seen Off-Broadway as Ms. Lionetti in the world premiere of Sean Pomposello's play "Barbicide."
SO YOU'RE HER is directed by Christian Amato, Artistic Director of The Theatre Project. SO YOU'RE HER explores the ambiguous uncertainty of discovering a significant other in the midst of an alternate relationship, and is set to perform tonight, August 6th at 6:30 PM.
Originating in 1975, the Festival is New York's oldest, continuous short play festival and has attracted submissions from not only the U.S., but international dramatists as well (Canada, Singapore, the United Kingdom, etc.). The OOB Festival is unique in that it requires applicants to collaborate with a producing organizing or to self-produce their work. Additionally, the winning plays are published in Samuel French's acclaimed OFF OFF BROADWAY FESTIVAL PLAYS series and licensed to theatre producers around the world. The Festival Week consists of eight performance sessions in which three or four scripts are presented in front of a judging panel comprised of theatre industry professionals, including artistic directors and major playwrights. At the end of each session, the judges deliberate and one or two plays are selected to move on to the Festival Finals.
