The New York premiere of Dale Whisman's Southern Gothic drama, Down the Road, begins previews June 1, 2011 before an official opening on June 4th at the ArcLight Theatre (152 West 71st St.). Juan Reinoso directs.
A young Korean War veteran returns home to California to find his parents have died in a house fire and his wife has left him for another man. Having no other family he leaves for Middle America in search of a distant cousin. When he arrives, he finds a woman with five daughters living in a small town haunted by secrets.

Dale Whisman (Playwright) grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he still resides with his wife, Sherry. They have two grown children, and six grandchildren. He is a member of the Tulsa Nightwriters, The Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc., The Oklahoma Mystery Writers, Mystery Writers of America, and a former board member of The Oklahoma Film Society.
