Abingdon Theatre Company is hosting our 19th Anniversary Gala honoring Charles Busch, Julie Halston and Timothy P. Speiss on October 24th, 2011 at Espace. We are so excited about our honorees we want to jump start the celebration!

Please join us on Monday September 19th at 7 PM for a screening of The Lady in Question is Charles Busch. Along with Charles Busch, the film features Julie Halston who began her collaboration with Charles as part of the Theatre-in-Limbo acting troupe at the Limbo Lounge in the East Village. Their hit show Vampire Lesbians of Sodom began at the Limbo Lounge in 1984 and their collaboration continues, most recently in Olive and the Bitter Herbs now playing at Primary Stages.

Directors John Catania and Charles Ignacio have very generously agreed to introduce the film and then to provide a talk back about the making of the film. Charles Busch has graciously said he will be in attendance.

We will auction off a pair of tickets to our Gala on October 24th, valued at $700! We will have Gala tickets available for purchase after the screening.

Tickets for the screening are $20 and will include a wine and cheese reception following the film.

We strongly suggest you buy your tickets early, we expect a full house!
