SHOTZ! is a theatrical pressure cooker that every month pairs 6 groups of actors, writers, and directors together to create brand new 10-minute plays, and perform them the first Monday of the month at The Kraine Theater, 85 E. 4th St., NY. Unified by three common criteria, each collection of plays captures a variety of perspectives around the month's theme, and is the best, most consistent showcase of up-and-coming talent in NYC theater.
BRAVE NEW SHOTZ is an evening of plays inspired by fictional dystopian societies and the non-fictional systems that could make them a reality.
The conditions for this month are:
1. An aspect of our world today must be removed in order to "improve" society.
2. We must witness a ritual.
3. The line: "Look at how far we've come," must appear.
