krav (Pr. "crave") follows a dinner host and her guests through an underground supper club, featuring delicious four-course tasting menu with beverage pairings prepared by Executive Chef, Rick Martinez (Bon Appétit, Food Network).
YOU are invited to a dinner party to converse with the invited guests. In this immersive experience, the line between "audience" and "actor" no longer exists. What results is a unique unfolding of stories and relationships course-by-course throughout the evening.
Produced by 5 Senses Theatre, krav is directed by Daniel Adams and was originally created with Sarah Burkhalter. krav is the third installation in an Anthology of supper club experiences created by 5 Senses Theatre. Following the first two iterations, the third in the anthology focuses on power dynamics, and introduces storywriter Jason Aguirre and producer Natalie Gershtein.
krav combines the experience of live theatre and improvisation with the highest grade of culinary arts. The down-home and rustic cuisine of Louisiana takes an artistically modern spin and is placed center stage in what feels like a distinctively "New York" dinner party. Chef Rick Martinez pulls the sultry flavors of the Bayou into a multi-coursed contemporary Cajun menu for 25 food-obsessed guests. With each menu catered to its audience and the unique feel of the party, no two evenings will ever taste the same.
5 Senses Theatre creates immersive events that tantalize audiences' senses and explore social dynamics between people in intimate spaces. The company employs intensive collaborations across disciplines between theatre, music, improvisation and culinary arts to create original theatrical experiences that facilitate dynamic conversations.
Tickets: $97.00. Tickets are now on sale, available at www.5sensestheatre.com. Dinner Party Dates: June 5 & 6th, 2015; June 19 & 20th, 2015; and June 26 & 27th, 2015. Dinner party location is disclosed 24 hours before the event via text message.
