13P, the OBIE-winning collective of 13 playwrights, will present "13P: UNDONE" at Joe's Pub, 425 Lafayette Street, for one performance only on Tuesday, May 13 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.) The company bills the benefit as a "dizzying evening of wine, theater, and song," featuring unproduced work by four lions of the American Theater: Christopher Durang, John Guare, Michael John LaChiusa, and Stephen Sondheim. The unknown or overlooked scenes and songs will be directed by the 2007 OBIE-winning director Anne Kauffman (The Thugs, God's Ear, and 13P's Have You Seen Steve Steven?).
Tickets start at $100. Admission will include reserved seating at Joe's Pub, entrance to the silent auction and post-show reception with cast (performers to be announced at a later date) and 13 playwrights. 13P was formed in 2003 by 13 mid-career playwrights concerned about the trend of endless readings and new play development with the motto was "We don't develop plays. We do them." 13P is: Sheila Callaghan, Erin Courtney, Madeleine George, Rob Handel, Ann Marie Healy, Julia Jarcho, Young Jean Lee, Winter Miller, Sarah Ruhl, Katherine Ryan, Lucy Thurber, Anne Washburn, and Gary Winter.
