$20 Student Rush Tickets for Fred & Adele Astaire Awards, 5/15

The Fred and Adele Astaire Awards the only awards to recognize excellence in dance and choreography on Broadway are offering a limited number of Student Rush tickets with proper student ID at $20 beginning 6pm Sunday May 15 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at New York University Box Office Only, 566 LaGuardia Place, New York City 10012. The dazzling Awards Show & Performances begin at 7:30 pm. The producers want to make this extraordinary event available to young people with an interest in dance and theater.

The star-studded evening will begin with a VIP cocktail reception at 6pm with the Awards Presentation and Show at 7:30pm followed by a party with the winners & special guest stars. Hosted by Bebe Neuwirth and Lee Roy Reams, the awards are presented by Ava Astaire and the Douglas Watt Family Fund for the Performing Arts and benefit dance education in public schools serving autistic and disabled children and The Adele Astaire Scholarship Fund for promising young dancers. This year's Douglas Watt Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to legendary dancer, choreographer and founder of the National Dance Institute Jacques D'amboise whose career spans the worlds of theater, dance, television and film. Awards will also be given to honor the best dancers and choreographers on Broadway & in film. Tony Award Winners Len Cariou and Brian Stokes Mitchell will co-present the award to Mr. D'amboise.
