Masked, the new off-broadway hit play at DR2 Theatre (103 E. 15th Street), is pleased to welcome Waleed F. Zuaiter to the cast for 5 weeks only: October 2 - November 4. Playing the role of Daoud, Zuaiter temporarily replaces Daoud Heidami, who is off shooting the film You Don't Mess with the Zohan, where he stars alongside Adam Sandler.
Waleed F. Zuaiter starred in Sixteen Wounded on Broadway and in Mother Courage at The Public Theater with Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline. He also starred in Stuff Happens at the Public (Drama Desk Award, Best Ensemble). His television credits include: "MONY" (dir. Spike Lee), "Numbers," "The Unit," "Law & Order: CI," and "Untold Stories." Waleed will be seen in the upcoming HBO/BBC miniseries about Saddam Hussein, "Between Two Rivers," playing his best friend, Adnan Hamdani. Waleed is a Performer and Producer on the NY Arab-American Comedy Festival and is also adapting to the screen "On the Hills of God," a novel by Ibrahim Fawal.
Masked, by Ilan Hatsor, is directed by Ami Dayan. The cast of Masked also includes: Sanjit DeSilva and Arian Moayed.

It is the first play by an Israeli playwright about the Intifada (Palestinian uprising)," explain press notes.
Masked won first place in Israel's prestigious Akko Festival for writer Ilan Hatsor (then a first year theater student). Since then, Masked has been performed continuously across Israel and has been mounted in over 100 productions worldwide.
Tickets for Masked are $35.50 - $55.50. Masked plays Tuesday at 7PM, Wednesday at 3PM & 8PM, Thursday - Friday at 8PM, Saturday at 4PM & 8PM, and Sunday at 4PM.
