World Premiere Of LILITH IN PISCES To Play At The Hudson Guild Theater Image

Lilith Productions, in association with the New York Theater Festival's SummerFest, presents Lilith In Pisces, written by and featuring Kayla Eisenberg*. The play will have three performances at the Hudson Guild Theater (441 West 26th St) on August 5th, 7th, & 10th.

This darkly beautiful new play focuses on the mystical power of female friendship and marks the playwriting debut of Kayla Eisenberg.

When Erin arrives to babysit Diane's baby at her cozy townhouse in suburban New Jersey, it seems they have nothing in common - except their birth charts. However, when the moon is full, Lilith comes out to play, and the two women discover that a shared history and astrological sign might just beget a kind of bond they never knew they needed.

From the playwright: "I originally set out to write a story that celebrated the beautiful, the tragic, and the resentful of the women in my family. One that explored the dynamics of our relationships, the measure of what we can learn from each other, and the unconscious, invaluable ways we impact one another....Lilith in Pisces is an homage to the unmatched power of feminine connection. Its power to destroy and its power to save."

From Director, Jenna Mate: "Kayla Eisenberg brilliantly highlights the divine spark that occurs in rare female friendships. Her play explores the places we go when we are most challenged. It dives into mysticism, and embraces the darkness we each carry inside, while questioning if that darkness leads us to light."

The company includes Kayla Eisenberg (Erin)*, Virginia Logan (Diane) and Wally Marzano Lesnevich (Mark). It is directed by Jenna Mate, with Lighting Design by Annie Garret-Larsen, Scenic Design by Jenna Mate and Michael Quattrone, Stage Managed by Callie Stribling and Assistant Directed by Jeana Mahan. The show is Produced by Michael Quattrone.
