WorkShop Theater Co Presents TARTUFFE, 1/15

The WorkShop Theater Company's Classical Theatre Wing, Charles E. Gerber, Director, Scott C. Sickles, Artistic Director and David M. Mead, Managing Director are please to announce it production of a Moliere's TARTUFFE, in a new translation by Paul Weidner, former Artistic Director of Hartford Stage, directed by Charles E. Gerber and featuring Bill Tatum, Ellen Dolan (As The World Turns), Gerrianne Raphael (Man of La Mancha) and television veteran Noah Keen (Twilight Zone and Mission Impossible ) and Charles E. Gerber as Tartuffe. The production begins previews on Thursday, January 13th at 8:00pm and opens on Saturday, J! anuary 15th at 8:00pm. Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays as 8:00pm, Sundays at 3:00pm and Monday, January 24th at 8:00pm. Tickets are $18.00 for General Admission and $15.00 for Students and Seniors. Moliere's TARTUFFE, the comic French classic with a theme that resonates even today, made its debut at Versailles in1664 as Tartuffe, ou l'Imposteur. Hypocrisy, honesty and sex all vie for attention in this new translation by Paul Weidner, directed by Charles E. Gerber. Featured in the cast are Kelly Anne Burns, Daniel Damiano, Ellen Dolan, DeeDee Friedman, Charles E. Gerber, Noah Keen, David M. Mead, Gerrianne Raphael, Mike Smith Rivera, Natalie Smith, Bill Tatum, and Jonathan Weber.

The design team includes Sets by David M. Mead, Lights by Duane Pagano, Costumes by Sharon Thompson and Sound Design by Janie Bullard. The Assistant Stage Manager is Evan Bernardin, Assistant to the Director is Patrice Miller and the Stage Manager is Joshua Quinn.

The WorkShop Theater Company's Classical Theatre Wing is dedicated to encouraging member artists to hone their talents by cultivating the classics. Under the direction of WorkShop Founding Member, Charles E. Gerber, the WorkShop offers readings and productions of classical theatre plays, as well as classes and seminars.

WorkShop Theater Company's mission is to provide a creative home for a diverse group of playwrights, directors and actors, to hone their talents and cultivate projects, from inspiration through finished production, while encouraging the audience to participate in developing new works. From staged readings to polished productions, over 170 professional playwrights, actors and directors are given access to a development process that brings their works to life.
