Producing Artistic Director Julie Crosby is now taking Women's Project Theater and its adventurous audience to the verge of COLLAPSE, Allison Moore's comedy of four middle class people trapped by the 2007 collapse of the I-35W Mississippi River Bridge, the 2008 collapse of the world economy, post-traumatic stress disorder, and sex addiction.
The New York premiere of COLLAPSE, directed by Jackson Gay and featuring Nadia Bowers, Hannah Cabell, Maurice McRae, and Elliot Villar, will run through May 19.
COLLAPSE has scenery by Lee Savage, costumes by Oana Botez, lighting by Paul Whitaker and sound by Jill B C Du Boff. Jess Johnston is the production stage manager.Playwright Allison Moore's COLLAPSE had a rolling series of 2011- 2012 premieres at Berkeley's Aurora Theatre, Denver's Curious Theatre and Dallas's Kitchen Dog Theatre. The play has also been produced by Theater B in Sacramento, Third Rail Rep in Portland (Oregon), and the Know Theater in Cincinnati. Other of Ms. Moore's plays have been seen at 2011 Humana Festival Anthology Project, Illusion Theater, 2009 Humana Festival, Kitchen Dog Theater, 2005 Humana Festival, Cherry Lane and the O'Neill Playwrights Conference.Videos
