Working Artists Theatre Project presents GREGORIAN, a new play by Matthew Greene, running August 18 - September 2nd at Walker Space (46 Walker Street, between Broadway and Church).

Gregorian portrays one family's journey through the bloodiest century in human history as four generations discover the gravity of a name passed from father to son. The play explores the cyclical effects of genocide on humanity, the consequences of denial, and the essential place these stories hold in our existence. Beginning with the Gregorian family's own tragic roots in the Armenian Genocide, through the rise of the Nazi Party, across the killing fields of Cambodia, and the continuing crisis in Africa, they do all they can to hold on to heritage, history, and hope.

The creative team is helmed by Director/Producer Jessica Dermody (Director: Fruits Unheard Of, Welcome to the Jungle / Producer: Green Day's American Idiot, Superior Donuts), Charlie Sutton (Choreographer; Wringer, Young Charles Dickens, Big Show/ Performer: 10 Broadway shows including An American in Paris, Kinky Boots, Wicked), Tina McCartney (Costume Design: Into the Woods, Christmas at the Apollo Theater), Jeff Hinchee (Set Design: Something Rotten, Pippin), Michael O'Connor (Lighting Design: Echoes of Ebola, Broadway: Speed the Plow, Inherit the Wind) Lil Malinich (Assistant Director), Sarah Harris (Stage Manager), Joanne Schwartzberg (Producer).

The cast includes Aaron Lynn (The Glory of the World @ BAM, The Christians @ Playwrights Horizons), Heather Lang (Broadway: An American in Paris, Spiderman Turn Off The Dark, Radio City Rockette), Margaret Reed (Orson's Shadow, Jake's Women, Limitless), Madeleine Barker (Grease, South Pacific, In The Heights), and Geri-Nikole Love (Jay & Ruby Get Religion, Higgins in Harlem).

Production dates run August 18 - September 2, 2016 at Walker Space, 46 Walker Street, two blocks south of Canal Street between Broadway and Church (A/C/E, N/R/Q/W, or 6 train to Canal; 1 to Franklin).
