Musicals Tonight! continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates with its next edition of AT THIS PERFORMANCE... held tonight, October 19th at The Lion Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street at 7 PM.
Hosted by series Producing Artistic Director and Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, the popular series allows performers to showcase their versatility and share anecdotes about their experiences.
Performers scheduled for Monday, October 19th are Brandon Andrus (Understudy for the roles of Terry, Buddy and Sir in the Broadway revival of Side Show), Will Burton (Understudy for the roles of Adam Hochberg and Henri Baurel in the Broadway production of An American in Paris), Sara Esty (Alternate for the role of Lise Dassin in the Broadway production of An American in Paris), Mia Gentile (Understudy for the role of Lauren in the Broadway production of Kinky Boots), Jenny Hill (Understudy for the roles of Bea and Portia in the Broadway production of Something Rotten!), Ian Knauer (Standby for the roles of Lucky, Captain and Hennessey in the Broadway production of Dames at Sea), Emily Koch (Standby for the role of Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked), Cory Lingner (Understudy for the roles of Chip and Ozzie in the Broadway revival of On the Town), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Standby for the roles of the Genie, Babkak and the Sultan in the Broadway production of Aladdin), Lauren Patten (Standby for the roles of Medium Alison and Joan in the Broadway production of Fun Home), Garen Scribner (Alternate for the role of Jerry Mulligan in the Broadway production of An American in Paris) and Paul Slade Smith (Understudy for the roles of Charles Frohman and Captain James Hook in the Broadway production of Finding Neverland).
Musical Director/Accompanist for the evening will be Eugene Gwozdz. This event is dedicated to the memory of Kyle Jean-Baptiste (pictured above), who was originally scheduled to be a part of this evening.
AT THIS PERFORMANCE... debuted in October 2003 and to date has showcased the talents of 763 Standbys, Understudies and Alternates who have covered 3442 roles in 410 Broadway and Off-Broadway.
