Musicals Tonight! continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudiesand Alternates with its next edition of AT THIS PERFORMANCE... to be held on Sunday, March 5th at The Lion Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street at 7 PM.
Hosted by series Producing Artistic Director and Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, the popular series allows performers to showcase their versatility and share anecdotes about their experiences.
Performers scheduled for March 5th are: Steven "Heaven" Cantor (Alternate for the role of the Boxman in the Broadway production of In Transit), Darlesia Cearcy (Understudy for the role of Lottie Gee in the Broadway production of Shuffle Along, or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed), Lori Ann Ferreri (Standby for the roles of Charity, Nikki and Helene in the Off-Broadway production of Sweet Charity), Ashley Perez Flanagan (Understudy for the roles of Sonya, Mary, Opera Singer and Servant in the Broadway production of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812), Adam Grupper (Understudy for the roles of Tevye and Lazar Wolf in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof), Rory Max Kaplan (Understudy for the role of Calogero in the Broadway production of A Bronx Tale The Musical), Peyton Lusk (Standby for the role of Jason in the Broadway revival of Falsettos), Michael Minarik (Understudy for the roles of Miss Trunchbull and Mr. Wormwood in the Broadway production of Matilda the Musical), Aleks Pevec (Understudy for the role of Shakespeare in the Broadway production of Something Rotten!), Sheri Sanders (Understudy for the roles of Rise, Seven, Ima-Mazing, Blast, Lola Touche, and Matty in the Off-Broadway production of Chix6), Brooklyn Shuck (Understudy for the role of Winnie Foster in the Broadway production of Tuck Everlasting) and Tricia Tanguy (Standby for the roles of Missy, Suzy, Cindy Lou and Betty Jean in the Off-Broadway revival ofThe Marvelous Wonderettes). Musical Director/Accompanist for the evening will be Eugene Gwozdz.
At This Performance... debuted in October 2003 and to date has showcased the talents of 834 Standbys, Understudies and Alternates who have covered 3857 roles in 447 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.
