Tickets are now available for Fracture Theatre Co.'s production of URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL. The show will be recreated in it's original Off-Broadway home, The American Theatre of Actors with a cast of 23.
This production will take a look at parallels between the oppression in Urinetown and modern social justice issues such as Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter. The show will run from October 16th to the 24th with rehearsals scheduled to begin Sept. 8th.
URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL will be produced by Fracture Theatre Co. - Seth Landau, Tim Simon, and Ethan Butler - with direction by Seth Landau. Music direction by Andrew Wheeler, choreography by Banji Aborisade, casting by David O'Hara. lighting by Susannah Baron, set design by Ann Beyersdorfer, sound design by Ian Wehrle, and stage managed by Dani Bae.
The insanely talented cast includes Jared Howelton (Bobby Strong), Cori Stolbun (Hope Cladwell), Olivia Gjurich (Penelope Pennywise), David Gautschy (Cladwell), Paris Ellsworth (Officer Lockstock), and Kelsea Baker (Little Sally). Blair Beasley, Carol Foose, Casheka Forte, Johari Frasier, Stefanie Miller, Chris Murphy, Jack O'Brien, Justin Parker, Tristan J. Shuler, and Christopher Rogers complete the poor people of Public Amenity #9.
Joseph Becherer, Madeleine Corliss, Cody Hernandez, Casey Kozlowski, Bobby Lowe, Julianne Turkel, and Reid Watson make up the cops of Urinetown and Cladwell's loyal and trusty executives. The show will have two swings, Jon Corton and Natalie Goldberg.
