Tickets on Sale Tomorrow for NYTW's OTHELLO, Starring David Oyelowo and Daniel Craig

A friendly reminder! Tickets for Othello, the second production of the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) (Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) 2016/17 Season, will go on sale tomorrow beginning at 12pm EST.

Directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold (Fun Home), Othello will begin previews on Tuesday, November 22 and open on Monday, December 12 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003) for a limited run through Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

NYTW is committed to making tickets available to every production via its CheapTix initiative. For Othello, all tickets for the first two performances, plus a limited number of tickets to all other performances, have been made available for $25 via mobile lottery in partnership with TodayTix. The entry period for the first two performances concluded on Friday, September 30, when winners were chosen from nearly 20,000 entries and were offered the opportunity to purchase $25 tickets.

The entry period for all other performances will begin each performance day at 12:01am EST and continue until winners are notified via push notification 3-4 hours before the selected performance begins. Limit one entry per person and two tickets per winner. A photo ID is required for pickup and lottery tickets and seat locations are subject to availability. TodayTix allows you to enter the mobile lottery via the app, available in the App Store or Google Play Store.

Beginning tomorrow, single tickets for Othello can be purchased at NYTW.org and by phone at 212-460-5475. No in-person sales will be available at the box office on October 5. Single tickets to Othello are $125 and standard ticketing fees apply to all orders. There will be a limit of 8 tickets per person.

The cast of William Shakespeare's Othello will feature David Wilson Barnes (The Lieutenant of Inishmore), Marsha Stephanie Blake (The Merchant of Venice), Rachel Brosnahan (The Big Knife), Daniel Craig (Betrayal, Spectre), Blake DeLong (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), Glenn Fitzgerald (Ripcord), Slate Holmgren (King Lear), Anthony Michael Lopez (The Penalty), Matthew Maher (The Flick), Nikki Massoud (Zealot), David Oyelowo (Royal Shakespeare Company's The Histories, Selma, Queen of Katwe), Kyle Vincent Terry (Robin Hood), and Finn Wittrock (Death of a Salesman).

OTHELLO will feature scenic design by Andrew Lieberman (Look Back in Anger), costume design by David Zinn (An Act of God), lighting design by Jane Cox (Noises Off), sound design by Bray Poor (War), and fight direction by Thomas Schall (The Crucible). Andrew Wade (Matilda) will serve as voice coach and Michael Sexton (Titus Andronicus) will serve as dramaturg and text consultant. Othello is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
