Tickets are now on sale for The Theatre Project's limited engagement of Barbicide, the new play by Sean Pomposello, which will begin performances Off-Broadway in October.
Barbicide, which brings to life a mafioso inspired reflection of the Sweeney Todd legend, is
playing its world premiere engagement at The Players Theatre through November 3. Christian
Amato (Non-Equity The Musical, Tico Tales, Alice In Wonderland, B*tch, 4.48 Psychosis)
Artistic Director of The Theatre Project directs the production.
The current developmental cast will repeat their work for the Off-Broadway run, which will run
October 4 - November 3 at The Players Theatre.
Barbicide imagines if Jack Kerouac, Jim Thompson & Mario Puzo were to pen a haunting
reflection of Sweeney Todd. It would be Barbicide, a tasty noirish revenge play of interwoven
monologues, underscoring the consequences of coincidence and fate. It's a whole new twist on
Fleet Street.
For tickets phone (212) 475-1449 or visit The Theatre Project. The Theatre Project is located at
The Players Theatre at 115 MacDougal Street in Manhattan.
