ABOUT ORCHIS

Meet the Orkidds: Secluded on Sea Island, they're three twenty-something siblings who refuse to grow up. With inheritance woes, a troublesome neighbor, and a fridge full of junk food-- decorum flies straight out the window. It's a Southern Gothic play for the Social Networking generation.

CREATIVE TEAM BIOS

NOAH BRODY, DIRECTOR

Noah is co-artistic director of Fiasco Theater and has acted and directed in Twelfth Night, Cymbeline and Two Gentlemen of Verona. He most recently directed Measure for Measure for the Brown/Trinity MFA program. Acting credits include: Portland Stage Co., the Shakespeare Theater of NJ, Madison Rep, and Trinity Rep. Touring: Noah has toured internationally with the Reduced Shakespeare Company. TV: Law and Order, All My Children and As the World Turns. For NYU and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting Noah taught Voice Text & Speech, and directed. He is a fight choreographer, author of the plays The Vexed Question and Cold, and a proud graduate of the Brown/Trinity MFA Acting program.

HAAS REGEN, PLAYWRIGHT

Haas Regen is a New York-based actor and playwright. NY: Twelfth Night (Fiasco Theater), Jump Jim Crow: How to Produce Your Own Minstrel Show (Subjective Theatre), The Importance of Being Earnest (Counting Squares), and various readings/workshops with The Shelby Company, Guerrilla Shakespeare Project, The Women's Project Lab, and others; Regional: Commonwealth Shakespeare, Trinity Rep, Summer Repertory Theatre, and Williamstown Free Theatre. Most recently, he is a contributor to the Golden Scraps, a variety show (producer: Erin Washington). He served as dramaturge for Guerrilla Shakespeare Project's productions of King John and The Two Noble Kinsmen. MFA: Brown/Trinity Graduate Program, where favorite productions include Hydriotaphia, House of Gold, A Mouthful of Birds, Dido, Queen of Carthage and Figaro. He holds a BA in English and Theatre from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he began writing plays his freshman year. An avid record collector, he is also an amateur opera critic.

The Immediate Family, led by founder and playwright-in-residence Haas Regen,. is a New York-based theatre company that produces new plays and adaptations of classic texts and stories, with a focus on collaboration, the performer, and theatrical imagination.
